GROUP WORKSHOPS — ONLINE — FR / EN
Become an all-terrain singer
Explore, experiment, practice all kinds of sounds — as a group, live, with the Simplified Vocal System. Three Sundays a month.
Sundays, 5–7 pm · Central European Time
Montreal, New York 11 am – 1 pm · Los Angeles 8–10 am
How a session works
Each singer brings along a phrase, a passage that bothers them or leaves them with a question. We take it, we pull it apart, and we look together for what is getting in the way.
Meanwhile, the others are not watching: they are doing the same exercises. This is the heart of the format. Another singer’s problem becomes your own training ground, and you discover things you would never have thought to work on.
We cover four to six passages each Sunday. With ten participants at most, your turn comes round at least every other workshop — but everyone works and asks their questions at every session, without exception.
Who it’s for
All levels. You don’t need to know a single technical term.
Two hours of workshop is demanding: we search, we try, we start again.
What matters is your motivation and your interest in understanding your own voice.
What we work on
- Controlling the rise of the diaphragm
- The different ways of making the vocal folds vibrate
- The twang and the control of sound projection
- Controlling the space of resonance
- The rules for keeping a voice healthy

Between sessions
You leave with something to practice. A few minutes of focused exercises, repeated regularly, are worth far more than long mechanical training sessions.
The fastest way to make progress is to do things slowly, to work methodically, in comfort. New skills are not acquired through relentless repetition: it is not about knocking down a wall, but about building it brick by brick, constantly checking the level and the plumb line.
From the book SIMPLIFIED VOCAL SYSTEM, 2026
In French and in English
A vocal exercise doesn’t belong to any language: these are sounds. A stronger vibration of the vocal folds works exactly the same way in Brussels and in Vancouver, and a vowel is far better shown than explained
The workshops run in both languages. You take part, ask your questions and work in whichever one you feel most comfortable with — and I rephrase the essentials in the other.
Taking part
€149 / month · three two-hour workshops
A deliberately small group, capped at ten: beyond that it stops being a workshop and becomes a webinar.
No commitment required. But do allow time for the work to take hold: comfort spreads gradually, and it isn’t a magic wand.
The workshops are live. Except in exceptional circumstances, a missed session is neither made up nor recorded — that is the nature of live teaching, and it is what keeps the group moving forward together.
One session may be rescheduled once per term, provided you let me know at least 48 hours in advance.
If I have to cancel, the session is of course rescheduled.

Comfort is the only way
No progress is possible by repeating a sound that isn’t perfectly comfortable.
